Own this sketchbook!

*UPDATE!* Thanks to everyone who helped drive the bids up! This book raised $362.83 for Lea and her family. Very cool. It means the world!

Ok, so here's a VERY unique chance to own a full sketchbook of drawings and paintings. This sketchbook, a small Moleskin-style deal, holds fifty original drawings and watercolors, all done on a private Sketchcrawl this past weekend in the San Jose Airport, the Burbank Airport, and the Universal Sheraton pool. It will go up on eBay very soon as part of a benefit for comics maker Lea Hernandez, who recently became victim to a house fire, losing pets and valuables, not to mention her home. If you're a fan of my work, or of watercolor sketches, this is for you. I've never auctioned or sold anything of this magnitude, so bid high and often. GO BID HERE!

BACKPACKER MAGAZINE

A couple of months back, I was contacted by BACKPACKER MAGAZINE to produce a 7 page journalistic comic for their "survival" issue, out on stands now. The story is called UNSURVIVABLE, and details the events of a Cessna crash outside Glacier National Park, where everyone was pronounced dead. But were they? Here's a sneak peak of the opening splash page! Go grab your copy now, or subscribe to BACKPACKER!

THE ANCIENT BOOK OF MYTH AND WAR

Yeah, I know you've seen this image before, but now I can tell you more about where it's going:

Early next year (we're shooting for February) Red Window will release THE ANCIENT BOOK OF MYTH AND WAR. This is a hardcover art book featuring work by me and some other Pixar pals, Lou Romano, Don Shank, Nate Wragg, and Ricky Nierva. It's going to be INSANE how cool this book will be, if all goes according to plan. Anyhow, watch these blogs for hints of what's to come:

Airport Sketches

CONVERSE: of the SOUTHPAW variety

These Chucks have SOUTHPAW on the reverse side with a boombox on each shoe, and he's obviously scratching records on the insides. The non-blurry pic is off of AMAZON.COM, who ironically don't have them in stock. Zappo's is trying to get them. I'll keep you posted. The blurrier pics are of the actual prototypes.

Still no word on how to get the other style (offerd at Comic-con as part of the deck set) except abroad...

Comic-con...the booth!

Yep, the RED WINDOW/E-VILLE PRESS booth was on fire, folks. We moved a ton of t-shirts, art, and books. And more importantly, we got to shake hands with with the fans, which is what it's all about. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the gang!

Comic-Con...Finn tears it up!

Yep, my kid knows how to party with the nerds...and my wife knows how to support her nerd husband. They are the best.

Comic-Con Wares pt. 4

So, I'll be bringing along some custom painted bowling pins, too. Three of them. Price: $200 each. These are actual wooden bowling pins, stripped of the outer coating, hand-painted.

UKES!

Here's the finished ukuleles...these are both reserved, but enjoy the pics. I'm happy with how they turned out, and will probably do more now that I know what's involved...

Comic-Con Wares part III

These are the covers, in production, of the limited edition hand-bound sketchbooks that'll be available at Comic-Con. It's an edition of 12, with five being included with the "deck sets" and five being sold separately, priced at $50 each. The books will contain blank pages, hand bound sturdily by my pal Kate Ranson-Walsh. Hit me early at the con if you want one of these guys!

Also, due to a printer error, I've got fewer t-shirts than anticipated for sale, so find me early for those, too. Price will be $20 a shirt at our booth, whether it's mine, Mahfood's, or Jeff Pidgeon's design...
